Template for tournament rules

Adjust this template as needed for each tournament. Read these rules to all teams during the pre-game announcements.

• Three XX-end games.
• Maximum score in each game: XX points.
• For the second and third games, the draw for opponents will be random among teams with the same record.
• Two games will be played before lunch.
• The re-spot rule is in effect.
• Equidistant bowls count one point to each team.
• If a game ends in a tie, play an extra end to determine winner. Toss a coin to determine who plays first. Points scored in an extra end will not count in tournament scoring.
• In the event of rain, one full game plus XX ends will constitute a tournament. If the tournament is cancelled in the third game, all teams must have completed XX ends, otherwise the scores from games 1 and 2 will be used to determine winners.
• In the event of hot weather, games will be shortened at the discretion of the tournament convenor.
• If you are called off the greens in the middle of an end, the end will be replayed when you resume the game
• The winner will be the team with the most wins and the highest aggregate score.
• Prizes will be awarded as per the posted list.
• The decisions of the umpires and tournament convenor are final.
