Standard Pairs and Trebles Tournament Format

 

Duration: three 12-end games

Draw:

  • Game 1: open random draw.
  • Games 2 and 3: random draw among teams with the same record (if there is an uneven number of teams with the same record, top team from lower group gets moved up).

 

Scoring priority:

  1. games won
  2. points scored
  3. points allowed
  4. ends won

 

Maximum score per game: 18 points. Any points scored over 18 count as plus points to be used as the tiebreaker to determine final standings.

 

Prize payout (based on 24 teams entered):

Description

Dollar payout

First place The top five teams win cash prizes based on final tournament ranking. In a 24-team tournament, all three 3-game winners and the top two 2-game winners win prizes.

 

 

5 times the team entry fee
Second place 4 times the team entry fee
Third place 3.5 times the team entry fee
Fourth place 3 times the team entry fee
Fifth place 2 times the team entry fee
High last game Team winning the last game with the highest score, and who are not otherwise in the final prize payout. 1 times the team entry fee
Random winner Team winning random draw among all teams not otherwise in the final prize payout. 1 times the team entry fee
