Welcome to the 2025 Cosburn Park Singles League!

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or stepping onto the green for the first time, this league is all about friendly competition, smart strategy, and—most importantly—having fun.

✨ Open exclusively to Cosburn Park members, it’s the perfect way to work on your game, connect with fellow bowlers, and make the most of summer at the club.

Below, you’ll find all the rules, format details, and essential info to guide you through the season.

📌 League Format

Objective:
Play one match against every other player in the league.

Match Details:

  • Singles format (1-on-1)

  • Each match consists of 3 sets

  • Each set includes 4 ends

  • 4 bowls per player, per end

  • All 3 sets must be played, regardless of the score

🧮 Scoring System

Set Winner:
The player with the most total shots in each 4-end set.

Set Points Awarded:

  • 🥇 Win = 3 points

  • 🤝 Tie = 2 points

  • ❌ Loss = 1 point

Note:
League standings are based on total set points, not total shots.

📊 League Standings & Tiebreakers

Rankings are determined by:

  1. Total cumulative set points

  2. (If tied) Total shots scored

  3. Fewest shots against

  4. Head-to-head result

📅 Match Scheduling

  • Players must coordinate their own matches.

  • All matches must be played between July 14 – September 27.

  • Make sure to communicate early to ensure you complete all matches!

📤 Reporting Scores

After your match, report your singles ladder score here.

Please report:

  • Set points earned by each player

  • Total shots for and against

🏆 Awards & Recognition

We’re celebrating performance and participation!
Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Top 3 Overall Players (most set points)

  • Top First-Year Player

  • Most Games Played

  • Top Novice Player

👉 Each member is eligible for only one award.
